Redevelopment of the first floor of the Eiffel Tower: visit

From Wednesday, February 1 2012 to Tuesday, December 31 2013

Like walking on air.

The Eiffel Tower is being revamped and will feature a brand new first floor. The public can avail of lots of new attractions and enjoy an even more impressive renovated monument!

The aim of this redevelopment is to make the Eiffel Tower more environmentally friendly, for the sake of sustainable development, and more accessible to disabled people. The reception area, conference facilities, restaurants and shops are all being rebuilt, and a new tour for visitors is designed to be both fun and educational.

Two new design features will be added to these renovations to make the tower more attractive, and indeed even more spectacular. The new architecture will espouse transparency in the slanting tower, providing unobstructed views from the 57 metre height above ground. In addition, a glass floor and guardrail will accentuate this sense of transparency. It will be like walking on air.
Don't miss the new-look Eiffel Tower!
