Dinosaurs, larger than life, exhibition

From Wednesday, October 24 2012 to Monday, June 24 2013

Giant herbivores.

In autumn 2012, the Natural History Museum of Paris opened its sensational exhibition devoted to the world's largest dinosaurs, the sauropods.

These giant dinosaurs were herbivores, reaching up to 40 metres in length and a height equivalent to four buses! Visitors can learn all about the way these dinosaurs lived and compare them with modern animals.

The main attraction will be a life sized reconstruction of a Mamenchisaurus, over 3 m high and 18 m long, one side of which you can see inside the model dinosaur, with its organs on show.
An archaeological dig on site will introduce young people to the fascinating profession of palaeontology.
