Behind Da Vinci's codes.Universally recognised as a talented painter, Leonardo da Vinci was also an accomplished engineer, scientist, set designer, musician and courtier. Regarded as the archetypal Renaissance man, his insatiable curiosity was rivalled only by his creative imagination. This exhibition at the City of Science and Industry invites you to discover around forty of his machines, thus getting inside the mind of this man whose genius lay in his particularly original methods of working. These machines include a giant crossbow 7 metres across, a flying boat, a trolley car and also a diving suit, illustrating perfectly the abundance of research carried out by Leonardo da Vinci. These machines and objects are extremely high quality, and were manufactured in Italy in the '50s, the designs taken from Leonardo's manuscripts.
